Sharon grew up in New Zealand, enjoying ballet and skiing from a young age. At 19 she suffered ski injuries to her knees and back. To heal, she turned to yoga and has continued to teach yoga and meditation for the last 30 years.

Ten years ago, she went to live with her husband in Seattle. Here, she trained as a Pilates instructor and assisted Suzanne in her physical therapy practice.

Sharon works with all ages and abilities for holistic health. She developed the Yoga and Wellbeing program for the Multiple Sclerosis Center - Swedish Neuroscience Institute, Seattle, WA. Sharon leads workplace wellbeing courses including postural education to improve health and safety and tutors private and public classes.

She was inspired to share the exercises and postural habits in the Move Well booklet as their practice has kept her skiing, dancing, and enjoying life.

Her other passion is photography of landscape, nature and people.  https://www.instagram.com/lightfootpound/
